Project Details

Koala UI Mobile is our Figma UI kit for designing and shipping native iOS and Android apps. We built it as a complete foundation — a component-based design system paired with a large library of ready-made screens — so a full product flow can be assembled in minutes instead of started from a blank canvas. It ships as a commercial product on koalaui.com/mobile: bought once, used forever, across unlimited projects.

  • Native iOS and Android components, built as reusable Figma variants on auto-layout
  • A broad screen library: onboarding, auth, payments, booking, chat, settings, and more
  • A token-driven design system — color, type, and spacing defined once and reused everywhere
  • Made to customize: restyle the entire kit to a brand by swapping tokens
  • Clean, predictable layer structure built for developer handoff

Project Goal / Main Challenge

We set out to design a single mobile foundation that feels genuinely native on both iOS and Android, holds together across very different app categories — a payments flow, a travel feed, a chat app — and still stays fast to customize. It had to look polished straight out of the box, yet flexible enough to become someone else's product without a redesign.

A component-based system

Under the screens is a system, not a set of static mockups. Every element — buttons, inputs, list rows, tab bars, sheets, navigation — is a reusable Figma component with variants for its states and sizes, all built on auto-layout so it resizes and restacks on its own. Every screen below is assembled from the same pieces, which is what keeps the whole kit consistent as it grows.

Built to customize

Color, type, and spacing live as shared tokens, so the whole kit can be rebranded from one place: change the accent, the typeface, the corner radii — and every screen updates at once. That's what lets the same foundation become a fintech app, a booking app, or a chat product without ever fighting the system.

Onboarding

The first-run flow: warm, illustrated intro screens and the terms step that set the tone before a user ever signs in.

Beyond mobile

The same component language scales up to dense desktop layouts — dashboards, analytics, and messaging built from the same tokens and patterns — so a product can span phone and desktop without losing its consistency.
